Speaking of Movies…
The Kid is bringing home the first season of Rome. I loved Taylor Caldwell’s novels of ancient Greece and Rome, always enjoyed mythology, even took advanced courses of Shakespearean literature in college. I have never, however, thought of the Caesars and Pompeii in quite this light. The characterizations are excellent.Of the two main Roman soldier characters, you might recognize Lucius from “Trainspotting”.
